2. Home Away From Home ...

During my two month stay in New York, I have taken an apartment in Jersey City. My home away from home occupies most of the top floor of this attractive cottage in the mainly Hispanic quarter of the city.

The street is a quiet tree-lined haven after the noisy hustle and bustle of dusty - but fabulously exciting - Manhattan.

And from the windows of the apartment I get a continually changing view of the Empire State Building - just 30 minutes away across the Hudson River.

If you are planning a trip anywhere in the world I thoroughly recommend booking your accommodation through - airBNB

I hope you'll join me on this exciting journey of discovery ... and if you haven't already done so, simply enter your email address in the box on the top right hand corner of this page ( Follow by Email ), and you'll hear from me regularly as I explore the world ...

With tomorrow's post I'm off to the Metropolitan Museum of Art - for what I'm sure will be the first of many visits ...
