Art & About in Nambour

After a very filling breakfast on Sunday ( celebrating two weeks of Covid-19-solo-isolation ) it was time for a long walk to stretch the legs and get the heart rate up and the calory count down ... so camera in hand, I headed into my town of Nambour ( Queensland - Australia ) to exercise my joints, and along the way, record our quirky collection of Street Art / Graffiti around the now deserted streets and laneways ... enjoy ...

David Hardy - Nambour State College

Ben Higgins & David Houghton - Lowe Street

Love it or hate it, street art is one of the most hybrid forms of artistic expression in our modern times because its purpose is to draw upon what the viewers know and manipulate the physicality of the subject to make their point.

Daniel Krause - Bloomhill Op Shop

Carley Cornelissen - Nambour Pre School

Fiona Groom - William Street

Mieke Salna - Queen Street

David Hardy - Civic Way

Thank you to all our talented artists and sponsors who have contributed
to making our town a more colourful place …
