117. Contemporary Art in Zagreb

Another day in Zagreb and another museum to visit - this time it is the cavernous Muzej Suvremene Umjetnosti - the Contemporary Art Museum. The Museum was founded in 1954 and moved into its purpose-built home in 2009.

The Museum houses around 12,000 artworks by contemporary Croatian and international artists - with just 600 on permanent display at any time.

Another wonderful Croatian gallery with an incredible selection of interesting artworks - there was also an exhibition of New Media - but the artworks did not lend themselves to mini-photography like mine ... apologies ...
